Patrick Shallow - Chairman
Chairman of Finalysis UK Ltd, Patrick Shallow has, since 1990, been Managing Director of Finalysis Ltd. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of the Metropolitan and Ireland Benefit Building Societies in Ireland and previously Deputy MD of Chartered Trust, the finance arm of Standard Chartered Bank. In South Africa, he worked with Standard Chartered Bank, specialising in the management of bank profitability and performance. Pat has presented regularly on Banking at University College Dublin and also to the Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers; he is a regular contributor to Finance magazine and to Global Treasury News.
Pat holds a BComm. (law and economics) degree from University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and a MSc from Trinity College, Dublin and is currently completing a PhD in Credit Risk Management. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers of South Africa.
Dr. Gerard McArdle - Managing Director
Director of Cash Management
Gerry McArdle has over 20 years experience in the area of Cash and Treasury Management during which he has worked for both Citibank and JP Morgan. He has developed regional and global solutions for companies in many industries. During his career he has worked in the USA and in Luxembourg, where he was involved in the cash aspects of the Securities industry.
He has presented at the prestigious Association of Finance Professionals conference in the USA on several occasions, is a frequent contributor to professional journals and has edited a book on the subject.
Dr. McArdle has degrees from the University of London, Trinity College Dublin and the Manchester Business School and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
Tim Wilding - Director of Risk Management
Tim Wilding has over 27 years of banking experience, during which he has worked for Barclays and The Industrial Bank of Japan. Whilst at Barclays Tim was latterly responsible for the management and direction of one of the corporate treasury sales teams. He was also responsible for providing advice on interest rate hedging to the London region of the bank’s branch network.
Prior to joining Finalysis UK, Tim spent over 7 years at The Industrial Bank of Japan, 5 of which were as Head of Treasury Sales, marketing treasury products to a wide range of corporate and institutional clients.
During his career he has gained an extensive knowledge of a wide range of treasury products covering foreign exchange, money markets and derivatives.
David Leighton - Director of Marketing
David Leighton joined Finalysis UK after many years in Corporate Banking and Trade Finance with Chase and Sumitomo Bank. David specialises in assisting companies with their borrowing and trade finance requirements to achieve the most cost efficient and effective use of their banking relationships.
During his banking career, David has worked with numerous companies within the UK corporate sector and has extensive experience in most aspects of corporate banking, trade finance and capital markets.
James Flynn - Senior Consultant
James Flynn joined Finalysis UK in August 2004, having spent over 25 years working in the banking industry. The last 15 years were in the Treasury Department of Mizuho Banking Corporation, London (formerly The Industrial Bank of Japan Ltd.) where, on the Corporate Sales Desk, he developed an in depth knowledge of all treasury products, including Money Market Deposits, Certificates of Deposit and Foreign Exchange.
James was also responsible for the marketing, sales and trading of Euro Commercial Paper for the Mizuho Group.
Tim Basnett - Regional Director - Midlands
Tim Basnett joined Finalysis UK after nearly 10 years with Fortis Bank specializing in Foreign Exchange and Money markets for clients of their West and East Midlands offices. Prior to this he worked in the treasury dealing rooms of Kleinwort Benson London, Riyadh Bank in Riyadh Saudi Arabia, Societe Generale, Bayerische Landesbank Girozentrale and the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation which he joined in September 1974.
Tim has been marketing and dealing with corporates for over 20 years finding solutions for currency hedging and advising on investment strategies.
Patrick Greenidge - Senior Associate
Patrick Greenidge has over 20 years banking experience and began his career in 1979 with Barclays Bank International before being transferred to the Corporate Division of their Merchant Banking subsidiary in 1983. In 1987 he established and headed a specialist aviation division for Sumitomo Bank and has much expertise in capital markets, particularly the specialist function of leveraged tax based leasing. Since 1999, he has been involved in asset finance consultancy.
He has a BA (Hons) in Economics and Psychology, is an Associate of Institute of Management Consultants and a member of Institute of Directors.
Jatinder Pannu - Analyst
Jatinder Pannu joined Finalysis UK in September 2006. Jatinder has recently graduated from Middlesex University with a degree in BA Accounting with Finance. Jatinder attended school in Hong Kong, which has provided her with an international background and the ability to communicate in five languages, including Cantonese.
Prior to joining Finalysis, Jatinder worked for several service related companies that have helped to develop her interpersonal and client management skills.
